Our city houses one of the most beautiful open-air theatres in Cyprus, The theatre is located right in the heart of the city’s Municipal Garden and has a capacity of 1800 people, while performances and concerts of all types are held throughout the entire summer period.

The theatre was renamed to “Marios Tokas” Municipal Garden Theatre following a decision taken on the basis of a proposal submitted by the Mayor of Limassol, Nicos Nicolaides and the unanimous vote of the Municipal Council during a meeting realised on 27 April 2017.

On 25 September 2017, the theatre was inundated with people paying homage to the popular Limassolian music composer Marios Tokas, in a concert filled with songs and melodies of the late artist.
