The main objective of the Limassol Municipality Sports Office – in collaboration with all sports stakeholders – is to propose and implement programs and actions that will constitute a significant social intervention on our part ultimately enabling Limassol to set an example when it comes to active lifestyle.

Promoting sports development in our city with a comprehensive program design, pioneering ideas and sporting events will create the conditions for greater citizen participation in sports programs and the establishment of a healthy lifestyle in general.

Our actions in education, as well as in our society in general, are aimed at enhancing grassroots and schools sports, as well as sports for people with special needs, all while providing sporting opportunities to citizens. The aim of the programs is to involve citizens of all genders, regardless of age or social class and to convey the message that exercise must become a lifestyle and be incorporated in various ways into our daily lives.

The Sports Office’s vision is for our Limassol to be declared a European City of Sports.
