Revamped Filellinon park opens to the public

The revamped park at Filellinon street is now open to the public. The park is located in Ayios Ioannis area and constitutes a project of effective intervention in the neighbourhoods of Limassol.

The project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund for the Programming Period 2014-2020 and in particular by the Operational program “Competitiveness and Sustainable Development: under the “Sustainable Urban Development” priority axis.

The Projects proposed by the Municipality on this axis aim at the sustainable development of the Western Districts of Limassol as well as the economic and social welfare of the residents. They are expected to contribute to the implementation of the vision of a city ideal for social, environmental and business activities.

Adults, children and people with special needs will be given the opportunity to socialize and exercise for free on a regular basis, in an easily accessible and pleasant environment, thus improving their physical health and well-being.
