European City of Sport Opening Ceremony Postponed

Given the public health emergency and following the Council of Ministers’ decision on banning meetings of more than 75 people as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in Cyprus, the Mayor of Limassol and the Municipal Council have decided to postpone the European City of Sport opening ceremony, which was scheduled for Saturday, 21 March 2020 at 10.00a.m. at Molos seaside park.

The event will be held at a new date which will be announced at a later stage, depending on developments.

Following the instructions of competent Authorities, the Limassol Municipality will deliberate the matter of the sporting events that are part of the 21^st LEMESIA event carefully and with no further delay.
