Smart Parking Guidance System

The Municipality of Limassol, in the context of its participation in the European project CIVITAS DESTINATIONS and in collaboration with the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company and Stratagem Energy Ltd has successfully implemented the measure “Smart Parking Guidance System”.

The measure adopted provides for the implementation of smart parking guidance system technology in six municipal parking lots. Smart sensors and other electronic equipment have been installed to collect and transmit real-time information on parking availability to drivers. 

•         Parking guidance signs installed at the entrance of parking lots to indicate real-time availability of parking spaces.

•         Variable message signs installed on arterial roads leading to the city centre to indicate real-time availability of parking spaces.

•         Mobile application indicating in real-time the status of available parking spaces

•         Website indicating in real-time the status of available parking spaces
