Announcement – Polemidia Dam to Overflow

The Limassol Municipality informs the public that the Polemidia dam is expected to overflow within the next few days, as stated by the Water Development Department.

Due to the weather conditions prevailing across Cyprus, the Limassol Municipality urges drivers to be particularly careful and comply with traffic signs as to avoid any problems.

According to information released by the Water Development Department, the amount of water flowing into the Polemidia dam reached up to 2.6 cubic metres, namely 77.3% of its capacity. The total capacity of the Polemidia dam is 3.4 million cubic metres of water.
