58th Wine Festival dedicated to the late Giorgos Mavrogenis

The Limassol Municipality announces that the 58^th Wine Festival will open its gates to the public on 30 August. The festival will be open for 10 days (until 8 September) and will feature dozens of local wine exhibitors, food stalls, theatre plays and music events throughout its duration to the entertainment of the visitors.

Following a decision made by the Municipal Council during the meeting of 11 July 2019, this year’s Wine Festival will be dedicated to the late George Mavrogenis, a journalist, cartoonist and artist in the fields of scenography, sculpture, art and theatre. Mavrogenis was one of the people behind the establishment of the Wine Festival as a major annual event and was also one of the people who helped integrate the festival into the Limassol culture.
