Mediterranean Intercultural Cities Network: Youth – Sport – Inclusion 2021

On the 9^th and 16^th of October 2021 and within the framework of the “Mediterranean Intercultural Cities Network: Youth – Sport – Inclusion 2021” project, the Municipality of Limassol in collaboration with the Nautical Clubs of Limassol, Famagusta and Mesa Geitonia, has successfully implemented,  a number of project activities related to intercultural integration. Through workshops and presentations, the groups of diverse young people coming from various communities living in Limassol, have been introduced to the water sports. Based on collaboration, dialogue, team-work and friendship among the participants, the local partner organizations provided an introduction to nautical sports.

The project “Mediterranean Intercultural Cities Network” is jointly implemented by the Municipality of Limassol, Ioannina and Haifa and is funded by the Intercultural Cities Program of the Council of Europe, in which Limassol participates since 2010. The Intercultural cities program supports cities in reviewing their policies through an intercultural lens and in developing comprehensive intercultural strategies to help them manage diversity positively and realize the diversity advantage.
