Τhe first big and essential step towards the implementation of the Metropolitan Park of Limassol, which the city will leave a legacy to our children and grandchildren, was presented today.

 

In the afternoon, at the Municipal Hall, the preliminary study of the project was presented by the team of researchers led by Dr. Nikolas Iliadis, Forester-Environmental Manager. It is not a single huge green space, but several urban and peri-urban green spaces that will cover areas of the Municipalities of Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, Germasogeia, Agios Athanasios, Kato Polemidion and Ypsona. The six Mayors expressed their readiness to proceed with this great project, which has been discussed in Limassol for years.
