Limassol Municipality donates €500.00 to the KE’ Primary School for the purchase of mandolins

In response to the request of the KE’ Primary School of Limassol (Ekali), our Municipality donated the amount of €500.00 for the purchase of mandolins to cover the needs of the school’s learning program on how to play musical instruments.

The Mayor of Limassol, Nicos Nicolaides, after having attended the students’ concert of the Limassol Municipality String Quartet, was further informed on the learning program by the school Director, Mr Theodoros Zourpanos and the school teachers. In an aim to support their efforts when it comes to teaching mandolin - the main instrument for the Limassol serenades - the Mayor, as representative of the Municipality, donated to the school the amount of €500.00 on Friday, 5 April.

Limassol’s public schools are equipped with teachers with a vision and students with great potential, and with this donation, the Limassol Municipality aims to highlight and bring students closer to music education and to encourage them to learn how to play musical instruments.
