Safety measures for Limassol open markets

As part of the preventive measures to be implemented against the spread of the coronavirus, the Limassol Municipality informs the public that:

1.      The use of personal protective equipment such as face masks and disposable gloves is encouraged.

2.      Wandering aimlessly around the area of the market should be avoided and shopping must be done within reasonable time.

3.      Consumers are required to keep at least two (2) metres distance between them. For this purpose, the entrance of the Open Market will be monitored by officials of the Municipality to ensure the maximum number of visitors is not exceeded.  

4.      It is necessary to use disinfectant that will be provided both at the entrance and exit of the market and at the stalls of each vendor.

5.      People belonging to vulnerable groups, people over 60 as well as people with disabilities will be served until 10.00am.  People who do not belong to the aforementioned groups will be served after 10.00a.m.

The public is requested to show that they have a strong sense of responsibility since everyone’s cooperation and understanding is needed in these unprecedented times.
