The Mayors of Limassol and Marseille signed an agreement between the two cities

The Mayor of Limassol met with the Mayor of Marseilles, Mr Jean-Claude Gaudin, with whom he discusses issues pertaining to cooperation between the two cities, as well as issues pertaining to the wider Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and joint initiatives of the two municipalities in this area.  

The two Mayors signed a cooperation agreement and joint actions for the 2018-2020 biennium, covering the following areas:  
1. Urban issues and development focusing on the exchange of expertise in relation to the two respective development projects, the Aktaia street and the Euromediterrannee, of the two municipalities
2. Trade and economy issues to promote cooperation in the cruise sector between the two ports
3. Education issues and support of the cooperation between CUT and the Aix-Marseille University
4. Youth-related issues and youth exchanges programs between the two Municipalities
5. Joint applications of the two Municipalities in European programs
