China and local companies donate medical supplies to Limassol Municipality

As part of the mutual assistance and support between cities, the city of Nanjing in China, which has been twinned with the Municipality of Limassol since 1972, donated 10.000 face masks to our Municipality. Additionally, two local companies also contributed to the fight against the pandemic by donating face masks and other personal protective equipment.

To be more specific, Melkor Holdings Ltd donated 5.000 face masks and Mesi Medical Equipment Services International Ltd donated 1.000 face masks, 3.000 caps and 2.000 shoe covers.

The Limassol Municipality would like to thank the aforementioned companies and the city of Nanjing for their generous donation and for supporting the efforts of the local authority to combat this health crisis.  

It should be mentioned that face masks will be made available to the staff and visitors of the Municipality once the conditions allow for it, while a number of face masks will be given by the Municipality to cover the needs of either rural communities or organizations engaged in social activities.
