Meeting of European Social Programs Delegates – Information Campaign on Social Assistance Issues

European Representatives of the European Minimum Income Network and the European Anti-Poverty Network, as well as delegations of the European Anti-Poverty Network (Cyprus) met on Tuesday, 29/05/2018 at the Town Hall within the framework of an information campaign on social assistance issues.

The Mayor congratulated the representatives of the Social Welfare Services on their charitable work and praised their sincere cooperation with the Municipality of Limassol in matters of social welfare.  He further mentioned that the Municipality of Limassol, as a local authority, has an obligation to deal with such issues and to create a framework for the smooth and efficient operation of the various social programs in place in cooperation with all stakeholders. He then informed the attendees about the existing and future social policy projects undertaken by the Municipality
