E-meeting between Limassol and St. Petersburg
A teleconference between the twin towns of St. Petersburg and Limassol will be held tomorrow, 30 April, as part of the International Town Twinning Day, thus attaching even more importance to the global battle against the spread of coronavirus.
The teleconference will be attended by the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides, the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St Petersburg – Member of the Government of St Petersburg, Mr. Yegveny Grigoriev, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Stanislav Osadchiy, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Russian Federation, Mr Andreas Zenonos, the Director of the Russian Cultural Centre in Nicosia, Mrs Alina Radchenko, the Deputy Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Sykas, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, Mr Sergey Markov, the Consul General of Cyprus in St. Petersburg, Mr Demetris Assos, and representatives of the two Municipalities in matters of health and social affairs.
The teleconference participants will be greeted by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Russian Federation, the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo service, the Mayor of Limassol and the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.
The second part of the teleconference will include presentations given by representatives of the two municipalities and a discussion on the actions of the respective municipal services in the health/ epidemiological area and on issues of social care, with the aim of mutual information and exchange of experiences and knowledge.
