ANNOUNCEMENT "Blue Campaign" to control marine pollution

The Limassol Municipality announces its participation, together with other relevant Services for the control of marine pollution, in an ongoing campaign that kicked off recently under the name “Blue Campaign”.  

The goal of this joint campaign is to identify potential marine and land pollution sources occurring during the summer months in the sea area of Limassol.  

At the end of the campaign, we will review and record the findings as to coordinate the Services in the aim of promptly dealing with pollution incidents in the Limassol area in the future.

The campaign will run from 25/06/2018 until 02/07/2018 under the general coordination of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works. The Services involved are:

• Deputy Ministry of Shipping
• Department of Environment
• Department of Fisheries and Marine Research
• Port and Marine Police
• Environment Commissioner
• Limassol Municipality
