The conference is an initiative of the Municipality of Limassol, within the framework of its participation in the European Mission for 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.

Organised by the Municipality of Limassol, the conference aspires to serve as a reference point for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and collaborations on the following themes:

  • Climate neutrality and sustainable development
  • Urban resilience and innovation
  • Energy transition, smart infrastructure, and sustainable mobility
  • Collaborative governance and financing models


Conference Objectives:

  1. To strengthen the collective understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the green transition.
  2. To highlight Limassol’s role as a model city and identify the needs required to accelerate its path to climate neutrality.
  3. To foster collaborative action and co-creation of solutions across sectors.


Distinguished speakers from European academic and research institutions, as well as representatives of organisations and institutions, will share best practices, research outcomes, and proposals to accelerate the transition to climate-neutral cities.
