First batch of food donations shipped to Lebanon

Limassol affirmed its full support and solidarity with the victims of the Beirut blast by responding to the Municipality’s call to collect dry food items for the suffering people of Lebanon after the recent deadly explosions that rocked the country. The Municipality’s Social Market announces that tomorrow, Tuesday, the first batch of food donations will be shipped to Beirut and asks all organized bodies to proceed with the sorting and packing of the items collected before contacting the Municipality’s officials at 99728871 as to deliver them in turns thus avoiding overcrowding.  

It is noted that the items collected have been determined based on the real needs of the victims and in accordance with the requests of the Lebanese Government and are as follows: canned food (of all kinds), cereals, rusks and crackers, all-purpose flour and milk powder for children. The items can be dropped off at the Social Market’s premises on Filellinon str., (Ayios Ioannis), from 08.00 – 15.00, Monday to Friday until 14 August.
