Limassol Mayor meets with local police leadership to ensure stronger police presence

After a meeting with Limassol Police, the Mayor said, “today’s meeting with the leadership of the Police Directorate is part of the close cooperation we have developed in recent years with the common goal of keeping Limassol a safe and friendly city for all its citizens and visitors”.

He made it clear that any anti-social behavior will not be tolerated, no matter who it comes from. He also stated that the Municipality is ready and determined to preserve the social stability and cohesion of the city, in cooperation with the Police Directorate.

To this end, the Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, proposed precautionary measures such as the increase of patrols in the city centre and in areas where people tend to congregate, as well as the increase of bicycle patrols along the coastal front.

To conclude, the Mayor state that “Limassol is and will remain a safe city and that is non-negotiable.
