The Municipality of Limassol and Frederick University, following the successful organisation of the Blue Limassol Forum 2020, jointly organise a webinar on Friday, 11 December, between 17:30 and 19:00 on “The Social and economic impact of the Pandemic in Limassol and Cyprus and Recovery Strategies”.
The organisers’ and the webinar’s aim is to discuss the economic and social consequences of the pandemic, emphasising on the city of Limassol, which over time contributes significantly to the recovery process of the wider region and the country as a whole.
“The pandemic has lasted several months and has had serious economic and social consequences in Limassol, but also in the whole of Cyprus. We realise that there is an urgent need to address these consequences though the planning of the necessary actions to support social cohesion and promote economic reactivation. To this end, we took the initiative to organise a discussion on the current situation, the measures taken and the ways of recovery, in which we call on all citizens to participate” stated the Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, on the occasion of the webinar.
The webinar will be attended by Zeta Aimilianidou, Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, Vasilis Demetriades, Deputy Minister of Shipping, Tassos Yiasemidis, Board Member at KPMG, Andreas Tsouloftas, President of the LCCI and Nicos Nicolaides, Limassol Mayor, and will be coordinated by Dr Angelos Menelaou, Head of the Maritime, Transport and Commerce Department at Frederick University and Accounts Payable and Project Manager at Marlow Navigation Co.
