Incentive parking (P+R) provided for free

It is with great satisfaction that the Municipality of Limassol announces the launch of the new Park-and-Ride system allowing students and other citizens to access the city centre free of charge on a daily basis.

Limassol Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, thanked the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr Yiannis Karousos for his positive response to the joint proposal of the Limassol Municipality and the Limassol Passenger Transport Company (EMEL) to provide the Shuttle-Bus-Service at no cost for all citizens, thus showing the political will of his Ministry to improve public transportation.  

It is reminded that the Park-and-Ride system was introduced on 16/09/20, in cooperation with EMEL to serve those who visit, work or study in the city centre. Citizens can park free of charge at the municipal parking lot Epaminondas”, west of Voreiou Ipirou street (where the outdoor market is held on Saturdays) and then board a minibus heading to the city centre, also free of charge, from Monday to Friday, 6:30 – 19:40.
