Event held in honour of retired colleagues

On Wednesday, 4 March 2020, the Limassol Municipality honoured a total of 41 colleagues who retired between 2017 and 2019 during a ceremony held at the Panos Solomonides Cultural Centre.
In his address, the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides, referred to each of them individually, thanking them for their services and contribution to the Limassol Municipality. He also thanked them for the consistency, zeal and love they have shown throughout the years and congratulated them, stressing the fact that our Municipality has become the best Municipality in Cyprus due to the officials serving the city.
Among the honoured colleagues were the former Municipal Secretary, Ms Giorgoulla Leonida, who retired in 2019 after 19 years of service and Ms Christina Christou, former Legal Officer for her 9 years of service in the Municipality.
Honorary plaques were awarded at the end of the event followed by a reception.
