Beach clean-up campaign

The Limassol Municipality, on the occasion of the International Coastal Clean-Up Day, will organize on Saturday, 19/9/2020 an information campaign to increase public awareness about the accumulation of litter on beaches.  

To this end, the Mayor, the Municipal Council and Municipal employees (together with other attendees), will symbolically distribute paper bags and paper ashtrays in an effort to inform people on the negative impacts of litter on coastlines and beaches.  

Respecting the environment and maintaining a clean urban centre is a key element of culture and improves the quality of life of local residents.
