The Limassol Municipality informs you that after the VATI landfill closes definitely down at the late February 2019 and the (4) Green Points in the Region become operational:

The citizens will be able to carry their waste to the Green Bring-In Sites free by putting it in the relevant waste bin. 4 Green Points, in Fasoula (96 089521), Kolossi (96 241551), Parekklisia (96 094716) and Avdimou (96 094135) are operational in the Limassol Major Area as it has already been announced.  

As is well-known, the Green Points are a defined, properly designed and structured space with suitable facilities and equipment so that the citizens may deposit FREE the following materials:

1.  Inert materials – Spoil

 2.  Do It Yourself (tiles, sanitary equipment etc)

 3.  Cumbersome waste (furniture, mattresses, carpets)

 4.  Electrical and electronic equipment waste

 5.  Green pruning

 6.  Plastic pails

 7.  Plastic

 8.  Paper / cardboard boxes

 9.  Glass

10.  Aluminum

11.  Metallic objects (scrap, radiators etc)

12.  Wood

13.  Textiles

14.  Toys

15.  X-rays

16.  Temperature gauges 

17.  Drugs

18.  Spot lights

19.  Purifying materials

20.  Colours (paint), inks, adhesives, resins

21.  Edible oils and fat

22.  Motor oils

23.  Car batteries and other domestic use

24.  Electric batteries and accumulators

In case you cannot carry alone the waste materials to the Green Bring-In Sties, you should either contact a private waste carrier or a licensed waste carrier / skip owner or the Competent Municipality Department, after having paid the charges calculated on the volume.

The Competent Municipality Department will apply the rotation collection principle that is one week pruning waste and the other week oversized items the day in a week, which is fixed for each of the 5 sectors in Limassol.

The charges will be as per the decision made by the Mayors of the Limassol Major Area: For an extended cab pickup truck full of pruning or oversized waste: € 20,00 / for a half full pickup truck: € 50,00 / for a pickup truck:  € 90,00

ATTENTION: THOSE WHO UNDERTAKE ILLEGAL DISPOSAL PRACTICES BY THROWING WASTE IN UNAUTHORIZED OPEN SPACES WILL FACE SEVERE FINES.
