Visit of the Deputy Minister of Shipping

The new Deputy Minister of Shipping, Ms Natasa Pilides, met on Thursday 24/5/2018 at 9.00p.m., at the Town Hall with the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides and a number of representatives of the Municipal Council. During the meeting, issues related to the cooperation of the Municipality of Limassol with the Deputy Ministry of Shipping were brought to the table.

The Mayor expressed the willingness of the Municipality of Limassol to take a more active role in the efforts of the Deputy Ministry of Shipping when it comes to attracting new companies operating in the shipping sector, highlighting the advantages of Limassol as an investment destination. The Mayor then raised a number of issues of common interest, such as the issue of combating sea pollution, the cooperation of the Municipality and the Deputy Ministry regarding the newly established Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of the Municipality etc. The Deputy Minister stated that there is common ground for joint actions and that the foundations for an open dialogue and productive cooperation have been laid.
