“EARTH HOUR 2020” – 28 MARCH 2020 Connect with the Earth

On the last Saturday of March, millions of people around the world, in hundreds of cities and villages, are expected to turn off their lights for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm as a symbol commitment to the planet in an effort to raise awareness for energy consumption and effects on the planet.  

The Limassol Municipality will also be participating in this annual global event by turning off the lights of the Town Hall, thus supporting the initiative to reduce the use of plastic and paper cups in our country.  

All citizens are invited to participate in this event by turning off their lights for one hour and pledging to limit the use of plastic and paper cups, sending out the message that the following day will be a day of participation and action.
