No loosening of restrictions, no complacency in the battle against the pandemic

Statistics as far as Limassol is concerned have shown that we can be optimistic. Nevertheless, despite this feeling of optimism, we should remain vigilant.

We thank our fellow citizens who have strictly adhered to the measures taken against COVID-19 and call on them to continue doing so in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease.  

Measures to prevent and protect the public against Coronavirus were immediately taken, while these measures could, at any time, be enhanced and scaled up if deemed necessary.

We would like to assure all citizens that, if and when instructed by the competent authorities, we are ready to support the implementation of targeted diagnostic tests. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Limassol Municipality has been at the disposal of the Ministry of Health, supporting and enhancing every measure aimed at protecting citizens and public health.

On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude on behalf of Limassolians to all frontline workers, hospitals and ICUs.
