Coronavirus pandemic has led to call for changes in Limassol 2021 Carnival events

The Limassol Municipality announces that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all upcoming big Carnival events are called off. However, the Municipality intends to organise some small-scale events that will be realised in such a way as to not imperil public health.

The relevant decision was taken by the Municipal Council after carefully taking into consideration the latest developments.   

The pandemic has led to call for changes in Limassol 2021 Carnival events. Unfortunately, big events such as the Grand Parade and the Children’s Parade cannot take place. Nevertheless, the joy, fun and optimism offered by the Carnival should not be deprived of the Limassolians and all our other compatriots, especially in this time when they need it more than ever. The Municipal Council will be organising some small-scale events that will, by all means, be held taking into account the existing conditions imposed upon us because of the pandemic.
