The Municipality decided to honour the great director Michael Kakoyiannis, by naming, the square in front of the old port as “Michali Kakoyianni Square (Constitution Square)”

At a meeting on the 3^rd of June 2021, The Municipal Council of Limassoll unanimously decided to honour the great director Michael Kakogiannis, by naming the square in front of the Old Port with his name as “Michali Kakoyianni Square (Constitution Square)”. This decision is an indispensible expression of honour and recognition of the huge contribution of our co-citizen Michael’s Kakoyiannis, who enjoys worldwide admiration.

It is noted that the particular square was refurbished and modernized recently with co-funding by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union for the Programming Period 2014-2020.
