Limassol Municipality focuses on neighbourhoods

The issues and problems faced by each Limassol neighbourhood are carefully taken into consideration by the municipal authority of the city. In the context of pan-community meetings, which will eventually cover the entire area of Limassol, the Mayor and Municipal Councillors are currently discussing with the Neighbourhood Councils, in the presence of officials, the problems encountered by each neighbourhood on a local level, the actions to be taken to mitigate and eliminate these problems and the efforts of the Municipality so that citizens can benefit from the best possible service. The meetings are organised by the Municipal Committee on Regional Communication and Development and focus on the implementation of flood control methods, green spaces, one-way traffic, the cleaning up of abandoned houses and plots, waste collection, replacement of road and street signs and other similar issues affecting the quality of life of Limassolians on a daily basis. So far, meetings have been held with the neighbourhood councils of Kapsalos and Ayios Georgios (Havouza). These meetings are to be followed by meetings with the neighbourhood councils of Ayios Spyridonas and Omonia in November.
