Event for “Neighbourhood Observers”

A gathering was held on 24-04-2018 for the awarding of cards to the “Neighbourhood Observers” at the “Panos Solomonides” Municipal Cultural Centre.
The event was co-organised by the Limassol Municipality, the Police and the Neighbourhood Councils.
The “Neighbourhood Watch” schemes have been successfully implemented since 2011 and are a modern crime prevention strategy implemented with the cooperation of the Police of Local Authorities and the citizens. In Limassol, the number of Neighbourhood Observers amounts to around 2700.
