Inspection of construction sites by Limassol Mayor

By the summer of 2021, all co-financed projects will have been completed, said Limassol Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides. This morning, the Mayor inspected all co-financed projects that are at a stage of construction and talked to supervising engineers, contractors and area residents. In his statements, he also mentioned that efforts will be made to catch up on the time lost due to COVID-19, stressing that the importance of promoting projects of local significance is enormous both in terms of social benefit and reflation.

Referring to the completion of the projects, he stated that 3 out of the 10 co-financed projects undertaken for the programming period 2014 – 2020 have been already completed and delivered. The remaining 7 projects are currently underway, while each is at different stage of implementation.

Concluding, the Mayor said that during these past 3 years, the Municipality of Limassol has made great strides in promoting the implementation of these projects. He added that it is important that everything is completed so that the local community can benefit from them as much as possible. All projects are based on the same philosophy, namely that of sustainable urban development, and for this reason everything must be completed, concluded Mr Nicolaides.
