The Limassol Municipality responded immediately to the call of citizens to install feeders and water troughs for the pigeons along the coast. While on a tour of the city’s coastal front and following a number of suggestions made to him, the Limassol Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, instructed the competent department of the Municipality to take action in relation to the matter. The Mayor remained in the area to supervise the installation of the feeders and water troughs to ensure that the hundreds of pigeons were going to be taken care of.

The Limassol Mayor, Nicos Nicolaides, stated: “The pandemic has not only affected humans, but also animals, many of which have been deprived of the care they receive from people who had to restrict their movements due to the pandemic. It is already known that the Municipality has also made arrangements to feed the stray kittens of our city on a daily basis. As of today, we will also be taking care of the pigeons along the coast of Akti Olympion”.
