Bicycle Lanes south of Franklin Roosevelt Avenue under Construction

It has come to the Limassol Municipality’s attention that serious errors occurred in the construction work of cycle lanes in a neighbourhood south of Franklin Roosevelt Avenue.

The Municipality awarded the project by tender to a private contractor after all legal procedures had been adhered to.

The project is still underway; it has not yet been completed and delivered to the Municipality and therefore should not be used by cyclists.

The Limassol Municipality will take the necessary action so that the construction errors are corrected before the bicycle lane is open for use, while it is investigating the conditions under which they were made as to determine liability and apportion blame where it belongs.
